Do you live your Passions?

Had a wonderful saturday doing some things I love. I visited two art exhibitions. One where artists were making their art and then auctioned their finished paintings and sculptures, with the money going to charity.
Then visited an art exhibition. Both of these things I loved and felt fulfilled with. Passion is such a wonderful feeling. It generates satisfaction, peace and love, hopefully this doesn’t sound too twee! Passion in many ways is what we live for isn’t it? Whatever it is for or whoever we are with. Without passion in our lives it can become dull, lifeless, mechanistic and boring. I think through passion we become more authentic in who we are. If we really enjoy doing something we show who we are in a natural heartfelt way. Sometimes passion can be misused. For instance those who become so obsessed with an opinion or belief that they resort to hurting others even turning to murder or terrorism all in the name of what they so passionately believe in. But to me this means passion is misused. Sometimes it can just take one thing to rejuvenate us when we focus on something we love to do. Maybe we just don’t have enough of this in the world. If we just focused on what makes us happy and let others get on with being happy too could that make the world an easier place to be? If only it were that simple.
